I really enjoy the irony in the fact that,

despite beating us 5 years in a row, we have a shot at going to our second BCS Bowl in 3 years and being in their beloved SEC has continually kept the Coots out of one even through the best run in their history!
Whine all you want about the ACC but they'll still be at the Capital One Bowl again!!
(for all you Coots, "irony" means: /??r?n?,?i?rn?/ a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result)

Dude that's what makes us look bad. You just argued how happy you are that we play weak competition and get to go to a BCS bowl. That is hardly a kick in their face.

Bigger payout, bigger audience and hopefully we don't give up seventy to Bama like we did to WVU in that last big payout, heavily watched affair. DUDE.

Not playing in a conference that only has one other credible team is what it is... nothing else. If the 2 team limit wasn't there this would be our second trip. Put the best teams on the field!!! And yes that means SC should be there before Clemson if it was done properly because they have a better team and have had a better season.

I used to enjoy keeping them home at Bowl time or it being a conference game. I dont enjoy 5 in a row but each is a little less important because you go from losing the last to losing the next. if you went from win to loss it hurts more.
BCS is a nice sideline but we haven't done as much to impact that as I'd like. I'm not counting us getting a BCS bowl till it happens. Lots of sports blather but little accuracy at times

wouldn't be 3 team s with one loss and two teams with two losses. The bottom 7 or 8 teams are so bad, that they can't even spring an upset hear and there.

Since the only conference title they have ever won was the ACC, they should be talking about how strong the ACC has always been, instead of bragging about a conference they have never won.

Question here... where do you think South Carolina winds up in the final polls if they beat their opponent in the Cotton or Cap one bowl? Where do you think Clemson winds up in the final BCS ranking if we lose badly to Alabama in the Orange?
Exactly what moral victory will you come up with then evans?

Not Likely, South Carolina is ranked highly & travels well. The fans spend money in the destinations and they are a well known team with an iconic coach. If Cotton doesn't pick them (and I think they will) the next up is Cap One who had a great turn out last time they were there. My guess is Cap One against a Big 10 team again.

Ball Sack is only iconic in Gainesville and that #### hole Columbia.
What's hilarious is he is doing the same our last coach did- beating the rival but not winning championships and losing to lesser teams.
We fired TB. There will probably be a statue of Spurrier outside the cockroach one day.

Are you being serious? I hope so because if you aren't you are willfully ignorant. Go ahead & throw the name Spurrier out next time you travel anywhere & see if they know who you are talking about. The guy is a legend in his time and has turned a team deemed unwinnable into a perennial 10 plus win team in arguably the toughest conference in the country for the past decade.
I swear I need to take a break from this board after these losses because my fellow Clemson fans just don't know how to handle themselves. Capitol One bowl, bank on it.

The BCS is garbage all the way around. But the way I look at is Scar had every opportunity to play in a BCS bowl. All they had to do is beat UGA (who we beat) and a very bad Tennessee team.
Yes they beat us head to head, but we have the same record and their losses were to much worse teams.

Supposedly, they are the better team. That is the team I want to be. Not be the #13 team that gets a BCS bowl over the #8 team just because they don't qualify based on some BS rule.

...but if you think of the Capons' dire circumstances had we WON that game, life would have been so much sweeter. We'd be top 5 locks, not clinging to the bottom of the BCS, and they'd have to be hoping for the Peach, to avoid Music City.
Yes, it's an embarrassment of riches when you finish 10-2, and I'm delighted to be here. But getting so close to so much more is a frustration to many folks here.
I hope it serves as motivation for our guys, wherever we end up on Sunday.
