Subject Change- Tattoos

Crazy change of subject.
What do you/Tiger Nation think about tattoos?
There seems to be a proliferation of them on the 18-28 year olds.
Just curious, personally I am not for them...

I will have a Tiger Paw real tat on my ankle area before I die-I'm 66 so yes I need to go ahead and do it-mine is football related as I will proudly be showing it off at games.

many other things there is a generational gap. They obviously don't say as much about the person as they once did. For example, I had a car break-in last night and the bright, seemingly very capable young officer that responded had tattoos all over both arms. Not that I expect the crooks to be caught or to get the stuff back. That isn't his fault.

Lots of people have them, and they are no longer taboo in mainstream culture. I'd even say that more people under 40 have tattoos, than do not.

It cost the company business when customers discontinue service due to less than presentable employees.

I don't have a tattoo in honor of my hero Hitler... see that's a stupid argument. I don't personally have one or plan on getting one, but there's just as many dumb people without tattoos as there are with them.

Then, you could change as the styles change.
Now, they're like constant reminders of bad decisions.

At first I was against it, but she always keeps them clean and conducts herself appropriately. She plans on cutting them off before she finishes college.

Never had a problem with small, tasteful tattoos
Dec 27, 2012, 12:24 PM
|

I'm 39 and don't have any myself but I've thought about it from time to time. I still might get one one day, but it would be no more than 2 inches across and easily concealable...on my shoulder, for example.
I think people who get large, visible, gaudy tattoos in multiple places on their bodies look silly, at best. I don't generally like "sleeve" tattoos either. But hey, it's not my business if you want to look silly. My brother-in-law has about half a dozen tattoos and in my opinion, ALL of them are hideous and garish. But he likes them, so more power to him. He's going to look ridiculous when he's 70.
