The SEC needs to trade

May 14, 2022, 1:21 PM

Vandy and Kentucky to the ACC for Clemson and FSU.

One big basketball program and another Nerd school for 2 big football schools. I know FSU has been down for a while, but that won’t last forever. The rivalries will stay in tact, with more on the line for conference standings, we get more money, and recruits can’t say anything about wanting to play in the SEC.

Let’s be real: academics haven’t mattered to football players’ decisions for a looooong time. Also it’s not like because we leave an academic/basketball conference that our academic standings are going to go down.

They ain't gonna dump two founding members. They'd dump Mizzou for us though. We'd fit better anyway.

I get what you're saying.

Usuc and Flo-rida ain't gonna let it happen.

They whine all the time that we were supposed to leave the ACC with them. Time for them to back those words up and keep the #### block to themselves.

So said aTm regarding Texas joining until Sankey set them straight.

The SEC wanted in the state of Texas and they really wanted Texas, not A$M. But, Texas was poorly led and didn’t listen, so they went after Aggy. What the Sec wanted was Texas recruits and the tv markets of Houston and Dallas, but also Austin and San Antonio. In the end, they’ll get both schools so it worked out great for them

I'm pretty sure Texas is bigger than SC & Fla put together

May 15, 2022, 11:43 AM [ in reply to Re: I get what you're saying. ]

recruit wise, so there's plenty of room for both A$m & Texas in the SEC.

Much more recruits in Flo-rida than SC, so Fl would have a bigger he77 no against Fl St than usuc would have against the Tigers.

But, since there's not that many SC recruits to split between the Tigers and usuc, that's another reason for them to vote no. Plus them being, well, ####$, there's that.

With Clemson competing toe to toe against Al, Ga, Lsu & T A$M in the past years (and usuc laying an egg), the ####$ have nothing else to lay their hat on, but, WE SEC!SEC!

Go Tigers AND Stay Well Clemson Nation!

While it would be great to see, the ACC $40,000,000

May 14, 2022, 1:50 PM

"exits fee" is pretty stiff. Now, I believe Clemson would ante up that money were an invite to be extended. But, like another reply said, I don't see the Coots OR the Gaytors voting to extend an invite, unless the SEC applied some internal strong arm tactics.

From a football standpoint, the SEC don't want no part of us. We already compete and hold our own, with the SEC recruiting AGAINST our conference affiliation. If that stumbling block were to be removed, we would dominate recruiting in the area.

But at the same time, they get to “claim” all the success we will have not have to make excuses when we win another Championship

Kentucky’s football program is currently light years ahead of where

FSU is today.

I agree, but they still don’t have the football stadium and Fa base that fsu does. With the talent in Florida, they won’t be down forever.

Isn't going to happen. You would have a better chance getting the ACC to drop Notre Dame and that ain't going to happen either.
