Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

You mean "almost won" according to the goats and coots.

It wasn't a rout. It was a very chippy, hard fought showdown on the road. We started to pull away in the 3rd but they battled back before we closed them on out. It could've very easily been a blowout, but give Baylor credit. They've got some talent on both sides and a very good system that's tough to deal with. They really play with an edge and compete too.

OU vs BU and UNC vs BU are two totally different scenarios though. They still had their backup QB Stidham, who is a very talented thrower and the clear future at the position for them. Def gonna hear more about that guy. We went up against their elite RB Linwood and WR Coleman too. Last night, UNC went up against a converted WR at QB, and without their two best weapons. Their secondary is still banged up from their game against us too. Baylor was a shell of the Baylor we went up against. UNC could've loaded the box with 11 guys and still wouldn't have been able to stop em. OU hit that Baylor run game in the mouth that night other than the very first drive...and against their best back.

It doesn't mean much in regards to our game, but you would've thought UNC would've performed better considering Baylors circumstances. The score doesn't indicate how severelythey were dominated on the ground, by a "passing league" team.

Is 40-6 a rout?***

I would def say so. I give em 100% credit for it too! Excited my team was able to earn a great oppurtunity for redemption...and on this great stage too. It will be a miracle if we pull it off though. We're not much better than last yr. Watson n co should be yawning by halftime, unless we're really, really lucky. Hopefully the football gods will save us.

Yeah, they expect championships every season...or bust.

As a side note, UNC also didn't have Swoffie's bunch there this time bailing them out of targeting calls (which they had 2 missed in the CU game)...and karma came back and bit them in the BU game and a player got ejected. UNC vs CU, one of Clemson's top tackles was ejected, but UNC got away with 2.

Let's also not count that 7 points of UNC's score vs CU came from a bad decision on a botched punt giving UNC really short field position which they scored on. That is very rare (only time that has happened this season). I wouldn't expect OU will get that luxury. Beyond that, Clemson even with that 7 point from the short field led UNC by 18 a few points in the game...so don't kid yourself that a BU/OU game looking pretty much like the CU/UNC score means anything for OU.

I'm just praying we lose by less than 20 this time, honestly.

Thanks man! Good luck to you guys tomorrow. I was able to get off work so I'm ready. They gotta do something about this scheduling in the future. The working man is getting screwed bigtime.

And we all know this one is the game to watch and you guys are #1. The other game is going to be boring as hell. We got screwed on the prime time action.

Lol I thought I already did own up to the ### whoopin. Reverse phsychology? Had to look that up on google. I wouldn't do that. Does every OU fan think we're gonna for sure win this game?

I clearly said it didn't mean anything for our game except that UNC is clearly nothing close to a top 10 team. It's not about the "score comparison". Geeze, you guys should've roasted UNC by 25+ if they didnt lax up late, which is definitely a trend of CU this yr btw and a very bad habbit to have.

You did fail to mention the UNC TD that Baylor got hosed on if we're on the subject of talking about how the scores could've been different though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

UNC didn't want to be there. Try to keep up!***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good point...but 645 rushing yards...WOW.

Dec 30, 2015, 9:27 AM

And 889 total rushing yards between the two teams.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

null

UNC got owned. A one dimensional team racks up

Dec 30, 2015, 9:47 AM

645 yards rushing...disgraceful....

the 4th quarter Cheesewick would have thought about putting a few more players in the box, or at least replacing all of his linemen with defensive backs so that they could at least run them down after they ran untouched through the hole.
