If you fired everyone for a mistake doing a job they normally don't do in adverse conditions while business is booming you would ruin your company in less than a quarter.

OMG, we aren't talking about a kid who suddenly started dropping punts. He's been doing it all frigging year!!! Do you want to lose a NC because you are loyal to someone who can't hold onto the dang ball? How fair is it to the rest of the team?
