Houston is biting off its nose to spite its face. I don't

care HOW good any individual player is, three first round picks for him is excessive. And, they want MORE than just the three first rounders! They have lost their window now, and a lot of the bidders will just move on.

it wasn't Houston balking. it's that there was no resolution of his legal problems.

That would be incorrect. The deal with Miami almost went through untill Houston heard there was a possible settlement and they raised the price. Miami said no of course.

This is just bizarre to me. Watson is not ineligible so if he is so valuable, why is he not playing? It appears the Texan's owner has gone all in on a $10 million hand to get the "new" future in a trade and being so bad they get the first draft pick. The winner so far is Watson for doing nothing and getting paid for it. There are not jobs like that out there.

Yep, when ever he plays again, he will be completely healthy, and going to a team that has an offensive line that will take away half or more of the hits he was taking playing for Houston. If a decent team that's just needing that ELITE NFL QB to win at a high level, DW4 can go there and win championships, and probably multiple Super Bowls!!!

Maybe the new team will have an O Line depending on what they have to give away and how the future bodes from giving up so much to get him. IMO, giving up three 1st round picks and other level picks, is too much for any team. Maybe by year 5 or 6 of his tenure with a new team, they can get back to a level to compete for a championship. I hope I'm wrong for DW4's sake. I would hate for him to be stuck with another team that develops into another Houston for giving up so much.

Watson has said that he will not play for Houston. They also don’t want to see him get hurt and the whole situation is insane. Houston is holding him hostage and it’s a disgrace. They never intended to trade him. Three first round selections is insane and very few players are worth that and very few teams are dumb enough to wreck their franchise by doing that trade. Look at teams that have made huge trades and given away picks to land QBs and see how that worked out. Robert Griffith III, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, and a guy named Ryan Leaf how did those trades work out

I don’t think Texans have received legit three rounder offers

Perhaps they have contingent offers pending legal outcomes; but I think this is the true definition of fake news as in it is propaganda.

SETTLE Now!. Empty the checkbook. Play. Win. Rep for St Judes or something.

Otherwise, he’s toast. maybe he’s innocent, maybe not. Life ain’t fair. DW may get healthy but Father Time is still working. His idol CNewton got 10 years. 5 years in, DW is on the clock, and it’s tickin.

Talking bout the QB position and all they got is time. Cam was an athlete/rb playing qb who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on a good day in his prime, light years difference between the two. Taysom Hill and Cam Newton is a better comparison.

Houston would never take a deal where

They would benefit that much. Change it to 3 seventh round picks and you have a deal.

DW is 26 years old. Tom Brady is 44.
DW faces two counts of alleged sexual abuse. Multiple counts of coercive behavior.
DW like all Americans is innocent until proven guilty.
If I were the NY Jets I would give them the entire team for DW.

Anybody who'd fall for those 22 Civil suits filed by prostitutes will be believe any thing. None filed a police report >at the time< of the fabricated fairy tales. None.

It's hilarious that Houston gave Nuk away for a bag of chips 2 years ago and now wants the world for Watson. Does the owner think he can save face from the BoB fiasco if he pulls this off?

Top 5 nfl qb at his age is easily worth 3 rnd 1 picks, he's a proven difference maker at by far the most important position. The Rams haven't had a 1st round pick since 2016 and won't until 2024.
