Anyone want to guess why Burch did not sign with the coots

seems strange to commit to a team on signing day, not sign, and then not talk to the media.
I love our no drama approach, get all in or keep dating and we will too. Next man up!

What was tweeted by someone supposedly in the know was that Burch and Huntley

are waiting to sign with their teammates at their high school ceremony in Feb.
The tweet also said that kids can't graduate early at Hammond, which makes me think he's not really in the know. A school isn't going to deny kids with all their credits from graduating early.

Graduating early is interesting

When most of us were in school, there was no such thing as graduating early. About the best you could do is get 1 or maybe 2 free periods your second semester of high school. I'm not sure why, as a society, we keep making school easier. Less hours, less homework, grade inflation all lead to a laziness.

I think one of the differences is that H.S. courses are now often set-up like college courses--on a semester (half year??) basis. That means that you could finish everything up by Christmas (??). When I was in H.S., every class I had went the entire year--there was no way to finish before the end of the school year.
H.S. (& college) is not so much getting "easier" as the standards are being lowered plus students don't really have to learn anything, they just search for it on the internet, regurgitate it & immediately forget it.

I don't know anything about Hammond, but schools regularly don't let kids graduate early. Next years top rated qb, Caleb Williams, is likely to change schools for his senior year because Gonzaga (DC) won't let him go early.

Hammond is private school, costs about 20k per year but can be attended for free with the right athletic scholarship. Located about 10 mins from the cockroach.

Hammond used to be where all the rich kids who get kicked out of public school for drugs go.
It was also the place the racists sent their kids so they wouldn't be around minorities.
I doubt that has changed.

I'm sure you would send your kids to some terrible inner-city school just to prove you weren't racist.

Maybe it was in 1975, but not today. It is well regarded in Columbia as one of the best schools in town (public or private). It certainly is not just "where the kids who got kicked out of public school go." Nobody is going to pay upwards of $20k a year for that.

Wrong. Private schools can forbid students from graduating early. The only way around it is to transfer to another high school. Our RB, MarShawn Lloyd, was enrolled at a private school called DeMatha and he transferred just in time to graduate early and enroll early.
Jordan is signing in a ceremony with all of his teammates that are playing college ball. They will all sign to their individual schools the same day.

High schools can't deny students from graduating if they meet all the requirements for earning a diploma, however they can setup their course availability so students can't get everything they need to graduate until last semester of their senior year.

He’s doing Chump a solid. And just think, he specifically stated he respects Chump as a man. A real man wouldn’t shield himself with a big recruit. Sort of like a shaky military shielding itself with women and children. It’s very Sadam Husseinish if you ask me.
And the worst part of it is Burch is already behind the curve. He has the tools, but who knows how far the time at Hammond set him back. Don’t get me wrong, I wish the kid well, but he’s been sold a bill of goods that will delay his development even further. Hope he’s able to get it together and live up to the hype.
