Finally figured out the "WHEN Moment" of Clemson's 44-16 win.

It occurred imho when score was tight in mid of 2nd Qtr at 21-16 and Tua threw a long one to around the 15 and Mullins intercepted and ran it back to mid field.

Then Tigers scored with ETN going in untouched to make it 28-16 and minutes later Tigers kicked a FG b/4 half for 31-16 lead and with Bama demoralized.

2nd half started with a stop and then that pass to Ross, with Tide dB going down, for quick TD which sealed the deal since Clemson D sealed the Red Elephants.

No argument lightbulbbill®! But IMHO it was another big moment when team captain and leader CW42 took the long gangly freshman TL16 to eat breakfast mid-season. It kind of all came together after that. Small gesture with feeling. Big result. Go Tigers!

Yes…..and our kickoff after the FG gave Bama the ball at their 25-30 yard line with a little over a minute left in the first half and all 3 timeouts. Saban ran the ball behind center and then let the clock run out. It was over right then!!

This was the moment I remembered. Last minute of the half after our FG and Bama had all 3 timeouts and didn’t use them. My buddies and I looked at each other when they ran those 2
or maybe 3 plays and didn’t call a timeout- it was our Herb Brooks moment (from Miracle) when he sees the Soviet coach doesn’t pull the goalie. We knew the lead was only 15 and there was an entire half of football left, but that felt like something very uncharacteristic of Alabama. For them to pack up and take it to the half, sent a message (to the Clemson coaches and players too I’d wager) they had no answers for what we were bringing to that game.
