I watch Erik’s interview for the regional this weekend posted recently, and was just curious if anyone is familiar with his full background.
He’s a peculiar coach. And I mean unique, not weird. I heard him mention the physiological responses in the players’ bodies from the crowd cheering them on. I’m familiar with the adrenaline rush and how it works, but you never see a coach go deep into that evaluation.
He’s a very mental coach, and there’s a lot more to him than any good college baseball coach. You know he cares because of how much detail he gives you.
I see he played for East Carolina in college. But he seems very well educated about the players’ physical and mental health.
