This actually makes sense. Elway is dumb enough to give up a million first round picks.

Why would yoyou trust DW4? If you do something he doesn't like he'll want out. Sorry I'm a Tiger for life but I'm tired of the whining. You're making 140 million. Play and shut up! He signed the contract after they traded Nuke! He knew what he getting into. Chased the money now pay the price Whiney!!

DW4 did not chase the money. As a result of his talent even on a coachless and talentless team, the money fell into his hands. And he signed his contract to facilitate his departure from Houston, giving him the right to reject a trade to any team.
So DW4 seized the day. Hoping you will seize yours too Jeffro. Good luck!

Get out of here... if tour going to pretend to be a Clemson fan to churn up ‘the rival fanbase’ (I use that term lightly these days), you’ll have to be a little less obvious than that.

Apparently, DW4 doesn't like working for liars. The trust was broken. Enough said.

Bull. He's not "whining", he's just saying "no". Big difference.
Deshaun has this problem. He came from Clemson, where he knows how culture actually works. Dabo doesn't give his word based on whether or not keeping it is convenient, when his word is given, that's his bond, that's how it is, and everybody in the organization from the top down is expected to honor that word as well. Simple.
Deshaun is the same, and he brought his own man-of-honor approach to the entire Houston organization, and from the locker room to the community to the ladies in the food service who he gave a check to out of simple appreciation, they responded, instantly. It's why everyone top to bottom there respects the guy.
Then the owner - who had straight-up promised that Deshaun would have a say in the new GM - completely broke his word to Deshaun, and treated him like he was a simple employee to be pushed around, expected him to shut up and do as he was told.
Wut?
How does that work, especially when over here in Tampa here's Tom Brady essentially acting as the coach of the offense and picking the players he wants to work with, and winning yet another Super Bowl?
That relationship doesn't go back together again, especially since even if the Texans penalize Deshaun to the max the Texans still have to pay Deshaun $6 million a year to not play. I don't know about you, but I've never seen Deshaun flinch a day in his life...so I suspect I know exactly what the guy's going to do.
He'll shrug his shoulders give the Texans absolutely nothing - nada, zip, zero - until they fold. That's called "leverage" and he has all of it. Why would he do anything else with people he no longer trusts?

I would love to see my Broncos get him. But I would not want to give up the farm either.
Not holding my breath.
