Our game against Virginia Tech will mark the 11th

consecutive game played at Death Valley that has been a day game. 11 in a row. And we have been ranked for the majority of these games. 11 in a row without a night game. It's gotten laughable. Does anyone in our athletic dept. ever try to go to bat for us in an effort to land a night game? Good grief.

First - it's really not up to the administration 99% of the time.
Second - Night games for Clemson is a real pain in the #### for all the reasons we know, many of which are why we love Clemson.
Third - Night games are a ton of fun, and if the networks say to play at night - we will.
Fourth - the noon games are much higher rated viewing than the mid afternoon games - and when we win is great exposure the rest of the day on replay and highlights.

They like the primetime exposure, but from every other aspect they like earlier games.

EVERYBODY is more PUMPED AT NIGHT, players/coaches/fans, etc..........

Our admin doesn't want night games. Many fans who travel complain that it either makes it too late getting home after the game or too expensive if they get a hotel room. Also the admin doesn't want fans drinking all day long. It tends to create problems in the parking lots and stands.

Just to play Devil's Advocate here...
1. Our last night game at home was a loss
2. Our last night game on the road was a loss
3. Since the last home night game we have won 10 IN A ROW day games at home.
4. If you removed the last NIGHT home game, we would have a 20 GAME HOME WINNING STREAK.
So...... why are day games completely terrible?

The heat and humidity in Death Valley on a Saturday afternoon has won us more than one game. For those not acclimated it is a draining experince. Ever watch a northern team's defense about 2:30 p.m. during a game that started at noon.

actually the coaches do prefer day games over night games. I worked for the team when I was at Clemson and several coaches talked about their preference of playing during the day because night games meant you got home late and had to be back Sunday afternoon to watch film, which meant they didn't get to spend time with their families on Saturdays because they had been with the team all day.
