Does Dabo oversee the mass firings or retire to avoid the responsibility ?

Oct 28, 2023, 5:29 PM

I dont think his heart is in it anymore. He doesn't want to play the game the way it has to be played now to win. His staff is entirely made up of friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires at the end of the year and let's the next HC clean house and recruit the portal as needed.

Either way it gets cleaned!***

If he truly cared for Clemson he would step down immediately and let us start the search for someone who’s willing to play the way college football is played today to win.

I got a name to start the search with…

Lance Leipold HC Kansas.

Throw a ton of money at him and in his 2nd season we’ll be back in the title hunt. That dude is beating top 10 opponents at Kansas. Imagine what he could with our resources and I’ll guarantee you this if nothing else our team will be fully prepared and coached and developed.

Idc that he’s in his 70s bc he’s still going strong and he builds things that last and he’d know who to hand it off to.

Would you ever resign with his contract?

Than helping, yeah I'd resign.

Would that be a bad thing. Some coaches are not made for a long haul. Some coaches become too complacent.
Look he got Clemson back on the map but unless you are committed to doing whatever is needed ,then sometimes a change is needed.
That time might be at the end of this season.

He does neither. Keeps the staff intact, blames the season on beng a fluke, and continues to collect 12m/year. Also, brings in a 5th year QB so he can say he's embraced the portal.
