Do you think that any of our OL signees will be good

enough to win a starting job next year? I see them as good depth but with 7 returning OL players that have started games in the past, I don’t think that the frosh will overtake them in year 1.
I’d love to be wrong, though and see at least one of them come in and dominate.

I think our new OL coach is good and that will rub off in their development.

I think the transfer from Duke has a shot.

It’s my understanding that the offensive line is the most difficult position to learn in all of football, and rarely does a freshman actually start. The few rare occasions that they do they are typically a five star top 50 recruit.

No. I think they will be good, but we will already have very good OL next year and they will wait their turn, but get some PT when we start building good leads on teams again. Most will get the reshirt 4 games.

Not likely. Walker is coming back and there just wont be room or needed without injury as a starter. Time will tell though. We shall see.

I think a few of them will be very good, but not starting. They will have nice careers.

It really would be a negative if so. The established guys should be ahead. If a freshman comes in and starts like Miller did it means there is a talent gap in the existing players.

a Natty winning Offensive line coach in Matt Luke, instead of Thomas Austin.
While I am cautiously optimistic that we will be better on the O-Line, if we learned anything from THIS year, it should have been that even the shiniest new Wizard on the Block (Garrett Riley) is only as good as the ingredients at his disposal. The same will be true of Matt Luke.
I can only imagine the hysteria on here when we don't score two hundred points against Georgia in the first game next year. And yes, it will probably be just that ridiculous.
Just Win, Baby. It was good enough for Al Davis, and it should be good enough for us. Just win, the right way, even if it is only by ONE point. THAT is acceptable improvement, at least against Georgia.
