Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama. First of all, the speed is vastly different and we used to pride ourselves on our speed. But that is something you are able to recruit or not. I'm not sure what happened there as we had the number 1 recruiting class according to ESPN in 2020 or 2019.
But the most stunning difference is the build of the players, the eye test. Wow, that difference is not based on the difference in look of a higher ranked 5* vs a lower ranked 5*, or a 5* vs a 4*. No, players don't come out of high school looking like that except for very rare occasions, Sammy Watkins for example. There is no way a whole team looks that different. The difference comes after arrival on campus. What are they doing that we are not?

They are coaching them up with actual coaches.
We just hire former players that fell in to a job.

television. I think it was invented on September 7, 1927. But like most major inventions, internet etc. it took over 20 years to be a common household item. Anyway, they take a camera and beam the signal through air or cable and you I can actually see the players and compare them to our players that I have seen on that same invention. You should think about getting a television for your household soon. It would have made a great Christmas gift.

We had dudes back in the day.
Not sure what is going on with our strength and conditioning first and foremost.

He had a lot of praise for Clemson but one thing stood out… “Practices were a lot harder, a lot faster at Georgia.“ Coach Dabo Swinney, is “more settled,” Kendrick said, while “Kirby has a little bit more energy, and when it comes to practice, he treats it more like the game, whether it’s technique of finishing plays, he’s always on that microphone pointing you out.”

Danny's practices were like that. The players said they looked forward to the Saturday games because they were easier than the practice days.

Some or most of their players look like football players thats ready for the long haul of a season. They look bigger and faster.....not like dudes still doing a paper route on a bike or working the cash registers at Target.
The development has been off in some areas for quite some time. Their receivers look like our linebackers. Our defensive ends look like their safeties. I'm not sure what the development process is at Clemson anymore. Vontae Bentley was probably our most developed or built player body-wise that we had this year for his position and now he is gone. But people built like Bentley looks like one of their running backs.

Everyone talks about strength and conditioning programs...what about the nutrition program. I have routinely seen videos on the "Vlog" that show Clemson players with absolute garbage on their plates.

It might have been Hood, but the first time we played Bama the 2015 playoffs, he was on the field talking to a Bama reporter when the Bama guy told Hood, this is the first time I’m looking out across the field and seeing guys who look like our guys. Not sure that’s the case at the moment.

It might have been Hood, but the first time we played Bama the 2015 playoffs, he was on the field talking to a Bama reporter when the Bama guy told Hood, this is the first time I’m looking out across the field and seeing guys who look like our guys. Not sure that’s the case at the moment.
I remember reading that exact article. Also in 2016 when we played and crushed Ohio st, hood posted that the reporters on Ohio states side were worried bc of how much bigger our guys looked than theirs. Glad you pointed that out and brought that to my memory.

We have been beaten up physically by opponents from time to time. Our failure to score after crossing the 50 last night was really because Tennessee won the line of scrimmage on our offense all night. Tennessee not known for their defense.
