David Watford....

Oct 29, 2013, 9:26 AM

His best game of the year by far came in a loss to Georgia Tech where he was 43 of 61 for 376 yards and 2 TD's.

UVa doesn't have a great running game so Watford will throw it 40+ times per game. If the defense can get some pressure on him, he is prone to turn it over.

I think it's fair to say the game has slowed down for him some and that he has improved as the season has progressed.

He is a dual threat QB who also had offers from Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He is the first cousin of Marques Hagans who played QB at UVa from 2002 to 2005.

Well put. Like any other UVA QB over the years he hasn't been developed by UVA coaches. He was a raw talent when he was thrown in the mix a couple of years ago and frnkly he still is.

If he has time in the pocket he can make some decent throws. He has happy feet, hesitates too much and lets the ball get away from him. He is good for an INT a game. Their passing game has improved but they only have Tim Smith as a legitimate threat. Terrell should be a decent player but he is too worried about possibly having a grazed knee than becoming a tough football player. The like their little drag routes and dump offs. If our LBs can contain those it will force them to go longer which is bad news for Watford.

This year UVA has never really taken the time to establish the run. Parks should have decent numbers and be a factor but he his not. Again, if we shut him down early then they are in for a long afternoon.
