The time is here and the B1G is serious. SEC… they are coming for the south! VA, NC, SC, GA, FL.

SEC makes geographical sense for us but from a business point of view I could see Fox pushing for Clemson FSU and Miami. It gives them a footprint in SEC backyard.

I’m sorry to say that I believe Clemson and Florida State are likely to be the biggest losers in this latest round of realignment.

I think if you don’t see the ACC do something drastic like going after some Big XII schools like TCU, Texas Tech, Ok State, Cincinnati, WVU, Houston….then I think that is some members voting for the conference to die so they can leave earlier.

It’s a sick world where Virginia and Georgia Tech are going to be more sought after than Clemson and Florida State but that is the world we are about to find ourselves in. I keep seeing average joes just assuming that the SEC is going to come and take Clemson, Florida State and Miami just because they are non-AAU schools in the South but I’m not so sure. I think the SEC needs to expand into North Carolina and Virginia as top priorities. Maybe they’ll want Miami for the Miami tv market. Then maybe if they need a partner for Miami, maybe Clemson as the last viable option?

I sincerely doubt they take all 3 Florida teams but B1G might be interested in Miami to get a toe into Florida and that sweet Miami media market.
