We missed on at least 2 because of the probation in the 80's. Also Clemson got rid of Ford who probably would have competed with FSU earlier on. I agree with the truth of his statement but it isn't reflective of historical truth. Also didn't FSU have to vacate some wins under Bowden? Any champs included?

..by some of these announcers, but I honestly believe some of it is jealousy. They know what we have here, how loyal our fans are, and I think it irritates some of them. Not to mention that Clemson is a relatively tiny school tucked away in a remote corner of SC.....

it took FSU much less time.
Clemson is a football school... NO other ACC team was when FSU joined...
There is no REASON to compare FSU to anyone else in the conference but us

..but was the comparison made just to cite a statistic, or was it a "dig" at Clemson?..I can't get into Fowler's mind, but some of those guys aren't above taking shots at teams they don't like.....Lou Holtz is a good example of that, but I'm sure he would claim he has "absolutely" nothing against Clemson...

guy needs to hang it up and let an unbiased commentator take his spot unless he wants to continue to be the butt of a lot of jokes...
I see what you're saying about the comments and it does sting a little bit...but FSU had the right formula for quite some time. Clemson couldn't get out of it own way at times, and it started with the ousting of Danny...

You use Clemson as the lone example because they would be taking the lead in the category of ACC championships from Clemson, not from some other school. Its not a dig, its just facts. Dear god our fans may be the absolute worst at taking every little thing personally.
