DJ vs Cade... Why is even still a discussion on this board?

Anyone can see that DJ has dramatically improved from last year. He has continued to improve from week to week this year. If you argue this point then you are blind or either don't know football. DJ is our guy and our best chance to win anything this year.
Cade is going to be great in time. He's no where near ready now and I'm not sure but has he even completed a pass since the GT game? He is just a freshman but I'm excited about his future. He will be great for us in time but for now we really need to rally behind DJ.
Now dabo trying to call plays and Streeter taking the fall forit because neither one are play callers is a whole different discussion for another time. Go Tigers!

I do think he has a higher ceiling than DJ but it is obvious that he hasn’t passed DJ…..yet. It may happen this year still but I doubt it.

I honestly dont see a real threat in Wake, but those games are coming. We'll see if DJs improvements translate vs teams with talent.

I dunno ... looks like Cade is getting a lot of meaningful PT.
It's OK that he's playing largely with 2nd string, because this will make him better (instead of simply relying on 1st team talent to mask his current deficiencies.
Our QB situation (starter + backup) looks like a strength, even if DJ isn't NFL 1st round pick good at this point, and even if Cade isn't quite ready to be 'the man' yet.

Lol I blame them for recruiting a guy that does not fit the system and refusing to adapt the offense to him and then refusing to play the guy who fits the scheme when they can (let him get some real drives in and really throw it, not just predetermined throws).
Got DJ out there knowing he can't run RPOs and cutting the playbook in half. At this point it is what it is, DJ is Dabos guy win or lose. Hopefully they adapt the scheme more, they did alot better last year at the end of the year leaning on the run game and running more 2 rb and heavy sets. I also really think DJ does much much better when passing in spread out formations, stop trying to run compressed sets with DJ bc he looks uncomfortable with defenders all tight and mugging the los.

I'd rather see Clemson run the ball more and throw alot less this year. The defense is good enough to win most games as long as the offense doesn't screw them.

The 2022 season will start on Saturday at Wake. These three scrimmage games Ga Tech, Furman & La Tech are less meaningful than an inter-squad scrimmage. The season starts 9/24. Let's see how the Wake and NCSU games go before making any definitive pronouncements for the 2022 season.

We will need Cade before too long .
The fact that DJ can’t read the field and stares down his receivers will be big problems vs decent D.
We have played 3 cupcakes so far only time will tell.
