Can anyone read this?

Dec 14, 2017, 1:46 PM

The libs swore the internet would end and millions would die if Net Neutrality got rolled back to how it was at the beginning of the internet. Which, today, I learned was February 26th, 2015.

Please, if you can read this, give me a TU so I know my message is being conveyed.

I marvel at how ideology

Dec 14, 2017, 2:11 PM

so completely blinds some people that it compels them to argue against there own interests.

No one said it would 'end' the internet. What we're saying is that it allows ISP's to control access to the internet.

Ask yourself why the only people for repealing Net Nuetrality are the Internet Service Providers.

You will pay more for what you already have. How is that good for you?

How would you feel if J.C. Penny or Amazon controlled the mail?

Couple things here

Dec 14, 2017, 2:19 PM

1. Im not going to get my political news from someone who does not know the correct usage of "their" "there" and "they're".

2. J.C. Penny? Lol im surprised you are even allowed on the internet at the age you must be if you're still shopping there. Hopefully knocking net neutrality out will allow the old folk like yourself to stop hogging all of the bandwith looking up the definitions of memes and twitters.

3. The ISP's controlled the internet in the first place, with or without net neutrality. Where else are you able to get your internet from? If youre so wounded over this, pile up your pennies in your couch and start your own ISP that goes by the rules you like. You're a sheep and if you think this is a big deal, just wait till you find out how much debt our country is in thanks to your president from 2009 to 2017.

Because it increases accountability for these ISP's

Dec 14, 2017, 2:22 PM

If they block or throttle someone's service, or speed up their own, they have to publicly announce it, which then would be anti-competitive, which is already illegal. Net neutrality only came along a mere 2 years ago. Things were fine before then, things will be fine tomorrow.

NN did go on the books under Obama

Dec 14, 2017, 2:32 PM

as an official regulation.

However, NN has been under a gentlemen's agreement since the inception of the internet.

I'm not arguing that point.

I'm arguing that "everything was fine before then"

That is what I would like to see a source on.

You haven't a clue what your talking about. Here is an example of internet pricing in Europe where there is no "net nuetrality". This is precisely what the regulations prevented in the United States until today:

Do your homework before you start making a fool of yourself:

Do you even know what language that is in? Maybe if you did, you would see that its an advertisement for additional GB's in order to access those sites. Similar to every phone provider does with our data now in the first place.

Are you up in arms with cell providers now too?

Congrats my man, you played yourself a fool. You're a sheep following your flock of absolute loons.

Re: Can anyone read this?

Dec 14, 2017, 2:29 PM

Yeah, ISPs spent billions of dollars lobbying to repeal this just for the lulz

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

pretty much every law name is misleading

Dec 14, 2017, 3:10 PM

so Net Neutrality is the opposite of being neutral. Lawmakers want the name to sound good so the people will get behind it.

e.g. Patriot Act
