grit? Seems like kids that have these tendencies are born with them. I'm a lowly track coach, but I see it all the time. I also see coaches using so many techniques to motivate that don't work.

Gotta come from inside. I think?

Maybe it's there with these guys and with their backs against the wall, they come to play, every day.

Well, I can go next door. He's a DI, tours of Iraq and Afghanistan.
I live across the river from Paris Island, so, I've not only heard of the Marines, I hear them daily!

You can, but its hard; and I dont think our coaches have it in them.

It’s harder than it ever was, go ask a drill sergeant the difference between now and even 5 years ago.

Also, our players have zero fear of losing their jobs. Swanson for example, has a MAN behind him; that will never see the field.
