So I posed a question the other day and was....

Apr 6, 2015, 3:01 PM

Labeled a "coot" because I asked a simple question about our current qbs. I've been called many things in my short time on this planet but nothing as bad as that. I've said my peace and forgive all those involved.

Go Tigers!!!

Asking who is gonna transfer for your 25th post......

Apr 6, 2015, 3:12 PM

Not usually a popular thing. You do realize how it looks when somebody has been a member for about a month and then pens doom and gloom posts. However I do know of a website where decommitments and transfers are a real frequent topic......

So, one has to be a veteran poster in the site before asking a question? Doom and gloom would be your interpretation, not what it was intended to be.

it's simple.

Only those with 1000+ posts may question the program or athletes at any time without question.
Anyone outside of that is instantly flogged with tigernet dictionary words that generally make no sense unless you have the dictionary open in a separate tab to read along with.

So either avoid these posts or just don't worry about it. Unless you are a. Lot in which case please leave. Most of the people that have the 1000+ posts are either people with no life besides tigernet because I mean really, I'm 22 and it's hard for me to find time to waste on here, or two they just have been on for a while but in this case the coot callers fit under the first description.

Why does anyone care about their purse or being called

Apr 6, 2015, 10:07 PM [ in reply to it's simple. ]

A coot?

I actually strive to get to a zero pulse. I won't post unwarranted negative things to do so, but when it is necessary, the opinion of others on Tigernet won't deter me either.

With all the positives, why bring up transfers so early?

Apr 6, 2015, 3:46 PM [ in reply to Re: Asking who is gonna transfer for your 25th post...... ]

We can't even make it to the spring game without you assuming because somebody is a three star recruit that they don't belong, won't ever play, and should just go ahead and transfer. You can see why a post about a players potential and intrigue would be a better topic of discussion as opposed to bringing up unnecessary transfer talk.

I guess in your mind, Spencer Shuey should've transferred as well because he looked like the lowest rated guy at his position. Before Clemson, #24 ILB according to Rivals.com. #47 by ESPN. #79 by Scout.com. No way he'll ever play for Clemson, right houstonfan?

And then there's Vic Beasley. He wasn't rated highly. So I guess he should've transferred, aye houstonfan? Before Clemson: Rated as the No. 16 athlete in the nation by ESPN. No. 37 athlete in the nation and No. 37player in Georgia by Rivals.com. No. 34 outside linebacker in the nation and No. 37 player in Georgia by Scout.com. Well, clearly he'll never play for Clemson because of his ratings....

Gosh maybe you're right, only the highest rated players will ever see the light of day. I like you're logic. Take Lateek Townsend for example, U.S. Army All-American, #81 player in the nation by Sporting News. Parade Second-Team All-American. #113 player in the nation by ESPN.com. MaxPreps.com Second-Team All-American. #5 outside linebacker in the nation by ESPN.com. #8 outside linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com. #11 outside linebacker in the nation by Scout.com. #14 linebacker in the nation and #4 player in South Carolina by SuperPrep. #4 player in South Carolina by 247Sports.com.

Not sure if you're picking up on what I'm saying, but those ratings aren't always a clear projection as to how a player will turn out. Especially, when you bring up a player how has only been on campus a very short period of time. You've never seen him throw a pass in orange during competition yet you assume Tucker is going to transfer. If this is the standard and level of things you'll be posting, could you transfer?

I was attempting to say that as Clemson's recruiting classes are getting better and better, there "might" be some that won't be happy sitting on the pine. I've been a fan for 41 years plus 9 months in the womb. So, I won't be transferring anytime soon.

Sounds like a good problem to have versus scrambling

to find starters on the roster (See USuCk).

The 1000+ post comment is a bit absurd though. I can drop 10+ comments in a matter of minutes. It's not like it takes three hours of research and MLA citation in order to post a comment. I do have a life, and it involves saving others ;)

Best Is The Standard

It was a coot post so that is why you were called out.

Apr 6, 2015, 7:41 PM

Come to think of it. You kind of sound like that eyeofthetiger guy .Except you are not spouting about being a student at Clemson who gets interrupted by people on a message board. :)

Really insecure in yourself are you? Can't handle questions of any importance?

It is VERY common to have 4 scholarship QB's and

a walk-on QB on the roster. I don't even agree with all of those that say it is a good problem to have. I think we are short on QBs and desperately need to find another one in a hurry. Hopefully, one of the two freshman "bites".
