Arlington National Cemetery

Oct 6, 2014, 4:09 PM

File was too large to attach. Please take time to look at this.

Col. James Kendrick, a World War 2 B17 pilot that lives in Myrtle Beach, laid a wreath at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery. Following the ceremony dozens of young people wanted to shake his hand and have their pictures made with him. I caught this one. Look at the eyes of the young man in the white jacket. Notice anything on his jacket?

It was a great day with a great man! Seeing a young Tiger there and appreciative of what men and women like the Colonel have done just added to the moment.

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

There was a great documentary on National Geographic....

about the Arlington National Cemetary (Field of Honor I believe).

I have been fortunate enough to visit numerous times and never get tired of seeing it.

Definitely a fantastic place to visit. I am a proud veteran and the son of a Vietnam Veteran Marine that was buried there in 2006. Dad earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam and therefore he qualified for burial in Arlington. You never want to see the place as part of a funeral but to see the way they perform a funeral there is breathtaking.

GOD Bless America!!! We need it! Great video. And while we are on it...the next time I see Clemson fans around me laughing and talking during the National Anthem, my PTSD may surface....just saying
