Baseball should be reduced to 1/3 of the games. Postseason is a toss up and the regular season is a formality of making money. Basketball is no different. The good thing about football is less games

They need to get rid of the umpire behind the plate and use an electric eye like in tennis. That umpire was missing balls all night long.

the covid year exposed many things i had already thought, the nba and MLB need to slash half there seasons 81 games for baseball and 41 regular season all playoff series other than championship will be best of 5, championship best of 7.
and of course salaries cut in half at least. for all those saying it will never happen you are right voluntarily it will never happen but after the destruction of the economy sports will no longer play as a significant role in society and this will be reflected.

To me the wild card screws up teams that have played consistently well during regular season and win their division.
Baseball is a repetition sport and time off for anyone accept starting pitchers is bad karma!
For the Braves particularly, they started resting and sitting mainstays while regular season was winding down and these same players could not turn it back on in playoffs
Get the wild card next year and they win the whole thing
