Grayson Lambert(UVA) transfers to UGA...

I'm wondering what our coaches are thinking and what this young man are thinking. He's a kid from GA that we offered out of h.s. but we decided to commit someone else at that spot. He has 2 years to play and can start now if he wins the position.
Problem is nothing that I've heard from my UVA friends indicate that he was any good. He started some games last year but he's nothing to write home about.
Also, I don't see how he comes in and takes over from kids already in the program for a number of years. We do have a new OC so maybe he will be on equal footing.
Just doesn't make any sense unless he's an insurance policy, but why would the kids leave UVA to be a backup policy at UGA?

When they get into the graduate transfer market,it usually means what they have is not panning out. Simple As That.

why bring in someone mediocre when we have 3 serviceable QB's in the system? Jacob Eason, the top h.s. QB in the country is coming next year and all of this will be moot.

once was against Louisville in a rain storm so not the best game to use for evaluation. He is just average overall. He is a big body and has potential but maybe UVA wasnt the best fit for him. He gets to go back home and work with a much better offensive/QB staff.
He provide quality depth and is a guy who has started at the Power 5 level in college football.

He's I believe a RS-Fr. He is going against a R-Soph and RS. Jr. for the starting spot. This spring they were fighting it out and no clear winner emerged but he was running 3rd string. Some people have conjectured that he may transfer once this Greyson Lambert arrives.
He is a hard working kid, good kid, very very athletic. Studies film hard but they all do. He might move up in fall practice who knows. He was the talk of alot of insiders during spring practice for making some flashy plays.
Richt has never put transfer restrictions on a kid so if he left he could play anywhere after sitting out a year.

Add to that the QB they have coming in next year in Eason, and I find it highly unlikely Park finishes his career there.

Agreed these kids are transferring to places they may not ever start. Grad transfers should go where they know they are gonna play.
