Matt Hayes of the Sporting News

"For three decades Clemson has been chasing championship history. They might just catch it this time around."

Yeah, I was as miffed as anybody hearing F-bomb talk about Swinney the way he did, but gotta give it to him for owning up. He does have a good hold on the CFB world in the south, as much as I hate him and Phil Steele joining the mothership. ESPN has been putting out good quality CFB TV with Herbie, Pollack, even Jesse Palmer, etc for a while but they have been sucking when it comes to columnists, deeper analysis for a while. They bought up the two biggest names in that world because they can at this point. ESPN has a lot to hate, but at least they are putting out some quality, progressive stuff lately with Bill Simmons work at Grantland and th 30 for 30 series, etc. As much as a downer the juggernaut vibe they put out is, the money pays for pretty good product on the whole
