122.4 QBR at Halftime. 108 yds. 1 TD

What do people want?
I think this is the ACC effect. People look at the patch on teams and if it indicates ACC; we are supposed to hang 70 on them and score on every down.
Remember, GT has a ton of transfers who have played a lot of football. This could be a really good GT team we are playing!
Sims is good and is going to make some plays!
I wouldn't judge our performance just yet; as there was nothing to scout. On any level of football it's hard to prepare for "the unknown"! I think you'll see a much better performance in the 2nd half.
Go Tigers!

That Sims-McCollum connection is a great tool for Collins.

True!
GT is going to be better! It usually takes Coaches a few seasons to really dig in and get their system working! I think we are playing against a good football team that has an upgraded roster!
We just happen to be playing them 1st so people revert back to what they remember from last season.

DJ has not played badly. He’s moved the ball.

The Defense has given them a turnover, and the special teams gifted a touchdown on a blocked punt. Offense had one good drive.

1. That wasn't a fumble. Replay that to another replay crew and they call him down 8 out of 10 times.
2. We scored on the drive where he mishandled a snap. The snap was low(you saw that right?).
We are good. And, will get better!

DJ helped us on 1 of our 7 possessions. The other 6 were either 3 and Out (4 of those) or DJ fumbling (once) or getting the ball on the 5 yard line and having Shipley run it in on 4th down for a TD. DJ tried to run it on 3rd that possession, but he slipped and gained nothing.
Everybody here is pulling for DJ to do well. But so far, he's not.

Point taken. But DJ still starred down receiver. True TE dropped a catachable ball. DJ can't process fast enough. Ga Tech may prove to be decent but Clemson isn't playing to Clemson standards of the past decade on offense.
Need to give Cade a series and let's see.

Not sure that pass to TE was truly catchable. The lights seem too bright for DJ.
Would like Cade to have a series or two or three or four ....

check downs and 5 yard passes. DJ had one good mid range pass and a good scramble on the pass tho Collins. Beyond that, the offense looks bad. No push running the ball, no WR's getting separation down field

50/50 jump balls to see if any of the WR's could step up and go get it like we've had in the past. If not, it'll be another long year.

Wrong. 122.4 is passer rating, not QBR. Big difference.

DJ did cost us on the snap and fumble. But honestly what I saw the most was Oline issues again, WR not getting separation, and very Vanilla offense. DJ takes a little blame but shouldn’t take the entire blame.

I couldn’t care less about a statistic like that.

What matters is production and points on the board. Our offense looked terrible in the first half. We didn’t put many points on the board against a team that’s not all that great. People like you will always look for a statistic that you think proves a point that doesn’t match what people see with their eyes on the football field.

DJ isn’t the problem. Offensive coaching is.

Just like last year.
We don’t have elite talent across the board on offense like we used to to overcome subpar coaching.

We have spots of elite talent, but good coaching is still required to know what you have and play to their strengths. Seems like we've been trying to force square pegs into round holes.

But the problem is coaching. Dabo! Because DJ sucks! Our offense does not work if the QB is not a threat to run the ball. DJ sucks! Therefore our offense sucks! This is nothing new. We’re not seeing anything new with DJ. All of this was known when he was a freshman by people like me that know what to look for because it’s obvious. It was obvious last year. It’s obvious tonight. He doesn’t have what it takes at this level. It’s really that simple. Without a QB that knows how to run our offense there’s no way to know how good the coaching is or how good the offense is. Because what I have a QB that can run the ball effectively and make smart decisions the offense simply does not function.
