Question about Cade arm strength.

Great win. Cade looked way better, defense looked great. No complaints
Just a question...is it me or does it look like on some of those screens or the quick routes cades ball gets there to slow? I saw it multiple times last week and am example from today was the throw early that was almost picked off, Its like it lacks zip...his long ball looks great most times and he doesn't seem to lack arm strength, does he take something off or what?

I think those are timing and anticipation issues. That moon shot for the TD made me laugh though.
He's got arm strength. He's got to get more mature with anticipation throws. He's already come a LONG way since Duke.

agree maybe he takes a little too much off of it sometimes - but better than a certain former QB taking peoples' heads off from 10 yds

Agree. The long passes to the sideline are dangerous and he just doesn’t get them out there as fast as we are used to seeing. It’s also why his deep throws have so much air under them. I think he’s going to be very good but his best asset isn’t his arm strength. It’s his mobility and we need to get him out of the pocket to use that skill.

He's also straight up faster than I knew. He ran down that Duke defender and crossed the goal line before Verse against FSU. He just couldn't get an angle to make the tackle with that convoy. I can't wait until he breaks a long scramble or RPO. It almost HAS to happen. Just gotta make the right read.

You can tell hes the best option at QB bc there is very little QB runs called. Dudes wheels arent a joke though.

He throws better on the run than standing in the pocket. He has plenty of zip on short passes but the overall arm strength isn’t what we are used to seeing.

He doesn't lack arm strength unless you're speaking relative to DJ or Trevor. He's got great arm strength, just not 98mph fastball arm strength. If this was baseball he throws low to mid 90s. He's just not Aroldis Chapman throwing 106 like DJ did. I'd personally rather him have a good head and be precise, instead of a wild strong loose cannon.

It appears that way because Cade is a "passer" as opposed to us being accustomed to a "thrower" for the past couple seasons. There is na Big difference. CK2 is going to be really special at Clemson.

Where is JK to tear us apart? In his safe space with his crayons and passie I would bet.
