I've read his posts before and he seems like a diehard Clemson alum, that wouldn't say something like that. Seems like he's been critical of coaches at times, but not the teams. I guess we're all a tad annoyed about the way the ACCT went down.

I believe he's hit the ceiling and we are going to pay for him not being fired last year with the next few years being rather bad.
Also, I've never met a true fan that hopes we lose in any sport. With Brad we have to hope that we don't blow it.

I'm happy. I'll will never pull for my team to lose just so a coach can be fired but with that said Brownell shouldn't be here. That's my opinion, you're not talking me out of it. He'd have been fired years ago at a school that actually expects to win at basketball. I thought his presser after the selection show was an excuse fest along with putting most the blame on his players. I don't expect to be in the tourney every year though we should. If you can't be a top 68 team at least most years you shouldn't be at Clemson. The history argument is asinine. No one does anything until they do. What happened 20 years ago means nothing today. Kids want to play in the tourney and Brownell can't offer that hence his inability to get to recruits and not just top recruits but top recruits in this state which South Carolina the state has been blessed with talent the past half decade and Brownell has not gotten one top 25 nationally rated recruit that this state has offered of late. So yes I'm happy the Tigers made it and I hope they win but this team has no shot at the Final Four and I definitely don't think Brownell is the answer for the future. It is funny that ppl want to use Clemson's lack of success as a reason we shouldn't expect success but they don't use the same lack of success against Brownell. Quite the conundrum.

And a successful history of working the portal. Who do you think put this team together? Recruiting for Clemson basketball is a difficult job. You work on a player for three years and North Carolina makes one phone call. Game over. It has to be frustrating. But CBB has succeeded in the Clemson environment. The Lunatic Fringe will never be satisfied.

You are not allowed to argue the future. 44 wins in the past two seasons. Two four-stars and Buckner's son joining the program. A history of successfully mining the transfer portal. Clemson basketball is a solid program. Who knows what the future brings? But I personally believe this would be a bad time to blow it up and turn Clemson into a modern day Louisville.

or top 35. Huge difference.
I'm fully on board with us being a top 30 team every year, but expecting that given the current restrictions and limitations in place at Clemson is unreasonable IMO. That's especially true since many of you here are no longer happy to make the NCAA Tournament, but consider the season a failure if we don't make the Sweet 16.
