That's the issue with some of these DII guys. They go on that first visit and get blown away that they never make their other visits. Not sure if he scheduled one for Clemson or not but you knew whoever got that first one wasn't going to let him leave without his commitment. I've been saying the portal is way overrated in fan's eye's. You just look atb 247 and the top transfer portal guys from last year and very few actually made a difference on their team and I can say not one turned their new teams into contenders. The only position that can do that is QB and even then you have to have a special QB to do that.

lended to the public's perception of Clemson as an ideal landing spot for a transfer portal player. The perception is the tp player is likely in for the: "red headed stepchild treatment".

Dabo is a small market team seller in the portal, plain and simple. Paying players off is not his forte. The MTSU OT transfer said he did'nt think Clemson would be that involved in the portal. Well, he is correct if you look at the last few years. We can hardly get transfers to visit. It's about NIL money.

Clemson could be a hard sell for offensive lineman compared to schools that regularly get them to the NFL.
We can sell Luke as the new coach, but other schools can sell their pipeline to the NFL.
