How much did you study for the exam? Is there any specific study materials that are better than others? Any online test banks to study?
TIA

does. He would just ride around to his tricks, slap them upside the head, and take their money. Every now and then we would take one to Waffle House for dinner, but she had to be back on the corner making some casah as soon as it was over. I got my own ####### and started from there. I didn't know there was an exam to study for. Maybe I am just a natural.

I took it in 2011, which means I'm coming up for expiration in mid-2014 unless I start making up some PDUs that I've done. I think I sequestered myself for a week prior to the exam and spent the days reading thru the Element K prep book. There are other options, but Element K was what the course instructor chose for our class, and I assume it's as good as anything else out there.
Have a call in a few minutes, but I can answer any other questions you have in a bit.

This class...was it a "bootcamp" style class where you cram for the course or more of a college style class over a longer period?
Also, how do you prove the "4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education"? And by education does that mean classroom time?

the 35 or 40 hours you have to do in a classroom with the instructor. I'd imagine, like the SAT and GMAT and those kinds of tests, that there are plenty of other additional programs to help you study and prepare, but they're not required (the so-called boot camps).
To document your PM hours, you just list the projects you've led in as much detail as you can. I think I read that you have about a 25% chance of your PM claims being audited--I wasn't. More detail about your projects probably lowers your chances of being audited.

I used my current job as the 4500 hours of leading and directing projects. I received my 35 hours of education from a couple instructor led PM course that my work sponsored. I imagine there are many methods of getting education hours. I think you can take some online courses.

My work paid for me to take a week long power prep course. The materials I received from that were very beneficial. It would be near impossible to pass by simply reading the PMBOK. I took some practice exams from pmperfect.com too .. it is pretty important to memorize that 13 knowledge areas as well as all the 47 process groups that go with them. Knowing all the formulas will help too.
