It was good, but holy cow we used about 8 pitchers lol.. no one was in longer than 2.2 innings.. It worked. The bullpen really needs to build up some stamina. Really shouldn't take 8 pitchers.. I am sure that will improve over time. Don't look now but we have won three in a row. Let's make it six.

Well, I’ve noticed the entire season coach has used midweek games as opportunities to get a lot of guys time on the mound. The scary part about that is usually one or more of those guys isn’t going to be on his game. The flip side is you can yank that guy out the game easier knowing your pitcher by committee anyways. Last night I think coach had it predetermined to get guys some action which is somewhat odd considering we need the wins. It worked out well though. Bailey and Smith could’ve gone longer than they did. Bailey only threw 18 pitches and got taken out with 2 outs in the inning while having success.

Definitely shows coach wants to use as many arms as he can for midweek games. This allows all pitchers to be available for the weekend as well instead of burning a good pitcher

Sigh. That is the way it was set up so pitchers could get a little work in and still be available for the weekend. lots of teams do exactly the same way.
