Perhaps you have already heard this but .............

Jun 2, 2012, 2:22 PM

Coach DS said that Sammy, on his own, sent a text message to each of his sons and also to the kids of the other coaches on the staff asking them to not lose faith in him because of his recent show of stupidity. He realizes that these kids idolize him and is aware that he let them, and a lot of others, down when he was arrested. Says a lot about a kid who is willing to make this kind of contact with his young fans knowing that they were hurt by his actions.

Sammy made a stupid mistake

but it may be a very important mistake in the long run. I don't think that Sammy would feel he was above the law/rules, but plenty of star athletes in his position do. This will make him work harder and become a better man and player. All of us have done something we regret in life that eventually ended up steering us in a positive direction. I know Sammy will make the best out of this situation and come out a better person because of it.

Suspend him for Ball State and move on IMO.***

Wrong. The coach can't pick n chose which games like that if

Jun 2, 2012, 2:55 PM

they want to maintain integrity and it sends the wrong message to players and recruits. IMO that not only destroys credibility, but with the poor message being sent it's worse than no suspension at all.

You folks can't call other coaches out for their lack of integrity then turn around and want our players being treated differently. Makes you look like coots.

I've never called coaches out for that. And I know that

Jun 2, 2012, 3:05 PM

realistically he probably wouldn't do that. It's just with all the good that Sammy has done, the way he handled the arrest, making academic all american or whatever he made that you cut him some slack.

The cop was clearly profiling anyway. No chance he pulls over a white girl driving a 2008 4 runner with a burned out license plate bulb. Not that that makes it right to have marijuana but it certainly makes you a little angry at the mall cop.

I know he'll be suspended against Auburn, but screw it... Ball State and call it a day.

Suspending him for Auburn punishes the team.***

Says Mr Creibility himself.

Ok, so do the same thing we ripped on USuC for doing.

Got it.

Sit him from the Auburn game and move on.

especially disappointing given all the earlier comments people had made about Sammy and how serious and committed he was. No I dont mean to say he isnt just based on his reputation he is about the last guy you'd suspect would make a mistake like this.

Funny that you said the cop was profiling. You constantly bash Carolina. Go to downtown Columbia and tell me those cops don't profile black kids and athletes, then try and keep bashing USC.

I have been down town and all there is is thugs and hookers. Who do you expect them to arrest? You coots sure are a dumb breed.

Patrolling 5 points is like hunting in a baited field.

Get out of here coots. Please return to your coop. This site is for Clemson fans.
