Well, he did. However, don't believe he will play more than one more season of college football. Don't know all the details, but believe PAC-12 will play its current membership at least one more year before disintegrating.
Thus DJ should be gone after this season (Pro's or civilian non-playing career). In any case, haven't heard when this proposed merger would come about even if it moves forward.

The only with any value would be Stanford and then they could make one more desperate plea to ND and say look we can make your year end rival a conference game and then you would only need to add two more ACC games to become a football member.

take the Big 12's top prizes. I'd only take Stanford and Cal, and then add some combination of Kansas, OK State, West Virginia, Kansas State, TCU, or Texas Tech.
I don't think Oregon State or Washington State are worth adding, and I don't think it makes sense to have Stanford/Cal join if they're the only 2 schools that far away from the rest of the conference.
