We gave up 52 and almost 700 yds, you gave up 45 and almost 600. Both opponents left points off the board (although Richt, much to his own discredit, was trying to score).

Looks like folks outside of clemson didn't get the message that we too deep and that the offense was gonna be better than. The clemson staff perpetuated this nonsense and we all believed it. To be honest we have too many identities. Dabo's-great leader, mentor, giving preference to seniors, etc chad- spread offense, fast pace, up tempo, utilize speed everywhere to wear down a defense. Brent venables- strong defense at the line of scrimmage particularly front seven. But none of them are on the same page. Chad won't develop a running game to control the clock to help keep the defense fresh for the final quarter to give us a chance to win a game. It's like dabo just tells each of them to do what they do best but they contradict each other. Seems like a good leader would say "hey guys, looks like defense is our strength this year, let's work together and play ball control offense. Chad just because you like uptempo it's not gonna suit us well this year and we need to adjust a little, maybe slow it down and give the defense less snaps." Where the heck did all of out supposed there deep on defense go?
