Other Alumni/students just don't get it.

My father is a GT/Wofford Grad.
I'm a Clemson senior, and my brother is entering for his Freshman year at Clemson next semester. A laptop I purchased this Summer finally arrived,and of course the first thing I do to it is buy a 2-decal car sticker pack, put the white paw sticker on my laptop and the orange on my car.
My dad takes a look at my laptop and my brother walking down the stairs in a Clemson shirt, he says "you put a Clemson sticker on your laptop already? You kids sure do love your university" then says "I have never seen anybody love their University like Clemson Alumni do. I just don't get why Clemson people love theirs more than other alumni love their own."
He's right, I don't know of another school like ours. Other universities just won't understand. And man, Its sure as heck great to be a tiger.

If you find it worth your while to comment on my grammar mistakes, isnt it hypocritical to just mention in your post a vague reference that you have mistakes in yours? Thats like calling someone a liar, then lying, then saying you lie too.
You want to be a grammar nazi? Then bother using proper technique in your own post first.

students, who tend to go back to where they grew up.
Shoot, in my Civil Engr classes in the 80's, I was surronded by mostly NY, NJ, and Ohio folks. A few from S.C., but not near the majority. Same thing in many of the other engineering majors.
Just curious, what is the national average % for alumni giving? My guess it is not much above Clemson for schools with over 50,000 living alumni..

Interestingly, GaTech is right behind us. I have family that went to GaTech and I actually think they are almost as passionate about it (the ones from the US anyway) as Clemson fans but in different ways. While our pride is more about family and the culture, theirs is more about academics.
There is no reason we can't get a lot higher - if everyone on Tnet would give $50/year it would probably make a big difference. The $s really help too. My daughter has friends that got academic and need scholarships that would not have been able to attend without them.
By the way - USuC's rank is 21st

I agree about the GT grads. I currently work out of an engineering office just outside ATL and it is SWAMPED with GT grads... let me tell you, they are very passionate. I get to hear about it every day.
I am bringing a bunch of them down with me to the game this year. Hopefully we can knock them in the dirt in front of them, that would make my day.

And Grad School at Clemson. While I had a great time at Wofford and made friends that became groomsmen at my wedding, there's a special atmosphere at Clemson. While I spent half as much time there, and twice as much time working, you could tell there's a lot of pride in anyone a part of it.
