He wasn't ever going to be a difference maker for us.

Don't let the #1 recruit in-state the of SC fool you. He probably wasn't ever going to be a starter.

Great kid though. Best of luck to him.

he does not have talent enough to play here? his mom played volleyball here, being the best prospect in the state i figured we would give him a scholly like we did with judges twins and others.

The staff lost one, but the program will survive and continue to move forward.

Who said he didn't have enough talent to play at Clemson?

I said he likely wasn't ever going to start, or be a difference maker.

I suggest you consider taking a remedial reading class.

Ortre actually reminds me a little of Trevion Thompson. Thompson would be a starter on most college teams. He's a really good WR. Orte probably will be too.

Can you blame a kid for going somewhere he has a chance to start as a freshmen? I don't. Good luck to Ortre.

Clemson is recruiting at a whole other level at WR. SCAR isn't even close to that level.

Priorities.

I can tell you that if Clemson made him a priority Clemson he'd be committed to Clemson. Clemson was honest, give the coaching staff some credit for being able to prioritize which 4 and 5 star recruits they want most.

i watched him play against Conway about 3 weeks ago...

Sep 11, 2016, 9:39 PM

I did not comment because I didn't want to get land blasted for criticizing a potential recruit that we were still in it with, although I suspected he was a coot. He is an average athlete at best with above average size for a high schooler. He was winded at halftime and tapped himself out the game multiple times. Conway has one of the worst defenses I've seen in years and he managed like 30 yards receiving . I was less than impressed and left not upset at the prospect of him becoming a coot. His highlight of the night was tracking down a 270 lb def. tackle after a fumble to save a TD..it only took like 70 yards to catch him
