OU has been chanting this since 2007.
Brent Venables acquired this while he was at Oklahoma from the OU players and introduced it to Dabo and the Clemson players.

Just clarifying that this chant has been going on at OU during post-game celebrations long before Clemson adopted it. No reason for your editor to post an article saying OU copied it and for your fans to post all over the OU football twitter account accusing them of stealing it.

did you really think the best solution would be to come troll a Clemson board? Could you not provide your proof that OU has been doing the chant, to the trolls visiting your message boards? Besides that you have no proof as to how the chant got to Clemson. Really it doesn't matter. The story clearly rustled you jimmies and you had to come hear to whine about it.
On a side note, I do enjoy when Stoops trolls the SEC and backs it up. And I also would like to thank Stoops for letting Venables get away. He's been a heck of a coordinator and a big part of our success.

Just posted here because it was where the article originated that accused OU of ripping it off.
Venables had many great years at OU and wish we still had him. Miss seeing the fire he had combined with Mike Stoops. Never a dull moment with the two of them. Enjoy him while you have him. He deserves one of the high profile jobs opening up this year.

I was making the point that as sooners we don't need the We TOO deep chant.
We got plenty of traditions.. like winning etc
I wasn't knocking on Clemson for building its own traditions.
As far as you don't care.. I don't expect you too. Just like you should expect me to care what Clemson has done.

A mixture of both. A prime example of why no rankings should be released until the playoff rankings come out. Every team is different from year to year. Too much stock put into preseason rankings and too much credit given to teams beating the overrated teams in those polls. Happens every year for the SEC.

Man, there is a lot of venom between our teams and for the life of me I can't understand why. With the Perine link and this thread, it seems like we are bitter rivals.
Personally, I think Perine is a beast and great talent at RB but our D shut them down when we when faced them in the bowl. I am 100% tiger fan but the whole the enemy of my enemy comes in to play here imo. With the bs of the SEC, I pull for the Sooners as Stoops and his players aren't afraid to call them out, very similar to us.
Here's hoping that both squads continue to have great seasons and a possible meeting in the top 4 thus locking the SEC out!

We have choked.
Big time on national stage. Its been painful.
But I much rather be as a team, in 4 National games than at sitting at home watching.
Also couple things about bowl games.
Momentum going into them is important.
1) Did you win your games to end the season
2) How many kids are turning pro..( Cost OU bowl games, when we had several players declare early and played it safe)
3) Coordinators getting new jobs
4) Injuries
5) Media distractions
OU and Clemson both won their games to end the season.
Clemson has Shaq declared but this is for a natty. He wont play it safe.
No coodinators left.
No injuries.
Only media distraction could be Bakers eligibility.
All in all I see no excuses for either team to choke.
I will be downright pissed if I see my sooners choke. No excuses.
