ny one going toCharlottesville

Where do most fans stay? I assume you can buy tickets on the street.

Stay at the university inn

Right by the tennis courts. They have the most comfy roll away bed you will EVER sleep on

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Express

If it's like it was in 2008, you'll get tickets easily. I don't expect a big home crowd turnout. I went ahead and bought mine through CU so I know I'll sit with Clemson fans. I know University Hall West is the official tailgate lot for the Richmond Clemson Club. Free parking about a mile from the stadium. If you've never been, hit Durty Nelly's south of the stadium. It's the Esso Club, if the Esso also sold wine and had a fireplace.

UVa is 2 - 5 with losses to Ball State and Duke....

tickets will be abundant and plentiful.. A quick check of StubHub shows good lower deck seats for $60.00 to $80.00 and good upperdeck seats for $40.00 and $50.00. Cheaper if yo udon't mind sitting in the corners or the endzone.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I will be making the trip to Charlottesville

but we're actually staying in Lynchburg this time.

In years past we have stayed at the Hampton Inn on North Main Street which is adjacent to the UVa campus and a short distance to Scott Stadium.

If memory serves, there is also a Courtyard, an Omni, and a Residence Inn nearby. There are several other options out toward Interstate 64 near Monticello and Highway 29.

I just finalized trip details with 7 buddies for our adventure to Charlottesville. Amtrak departs Greenville on Friday Nov 1st around 11:00 PM and arrives in Charlottesville at 7:00 AM. We have a late hotel check-in for Saturday morning so we can take care of the 3 S's, then are off to hit the bars or tailgate before the game. After the game, Amtrak departs Charlottesville around 9:00 PM and arrives back in Greenville between 5-6 AM.

Heck, one of our guys lives in ATL and may just take the train up to meet us. We have asked and you can negotiate with the bartendar in the lounge car to stay open later and also bring a cooler on the train with you.

Go Tigers!

If you don't mind my asking, what did the round trip train ticket run you?

The round trip train ticket was around $150 and we even booked a hotel Friday night for a late arrival on Saturday morning so we could shower. between the train and the hotel broken down, we're in for $175 without game ticket and booze

That actually sounds like a pretty sweet deal.***

I just got two lower deck tickets in the end zone one section over from the Clemson section yesterday for 42 dollars each. Just go to the UVA athletics website and buy tickets from them.

That train trip sounds awesome. A little caboose action too. Take a Mangus off the back.
