Based on Dabo’s statements from years ago, the lazy

Jan 1, 2023, 1:07 PM

Questions from the media he is having to answer (which his answers seem less fiery than in years past), and the monumental chaos that is enveloping the college football structure, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dabo retire soon.

I hope not. I’d rather see his fire rekindled and he makes the staff changes necessary to get us back where we were. N other words, the old Dabo.

Number of reasons he said he might leave/walk away...

who knows, will be interesting how much of the college football fan base does as well?

Trying times, stranger tides...

Yes, for the good of the game, evolution of the system

Needs to happen or the fans will leave because the system will be worse than the professional structure.

Ranger, I am sorry you missed the Playoff games yesterday because they were the best ever. There is nothing wrong with college football, there is something wrong with fans who can just not accept that things have changed. Every day brings changes in life.

Funny you should say that. I was thinking the same thing.

Like within even the next 2-3 years. It's become, or is becoming, professional football. Only it's less restrictive than the NFL. I don't think he is willing to embrace certain practices within that model, and I would not be at all surprised if he says it's not for him.

I agree with you. I’m not even saying the changes are good

Or bad (although I am not a fan of most of it) but they are chaos rather a structured system of free agency and salaries like what the NFL has developed.
