New video screen

Sep 21, 2022, 1:07 AM

I love the new video screen size when it is full screen and wish all replays could be full screen. The small size of showing the down and distance is very difficult to read and would be so much better if a lot larger. The stats on the left side are also difficult to read for many viewers. Maybe they could take off the stats and just show every so often in a larger size. This would allow more time for the bigger screen size which is amazing.

I agree 100%. I have a hard time picking up the down and distance. While the game is being played im much more interested in what down it is rather then knowing how many rushing yards we have.

Luckily they have a backup system at every single stadium

I try to watch the game on the field more so that on the big tv. I have a tv at home that shows everything that the scoreboard shows but there is nothing like being in Death Valley on game day. I’ve been to so many games I’ve learned how to figure down and distance without taking my eyes of the field, Seeing the replays are beneficial however.

Same here. I look at down and distance as soon as the previous play if over if I can’t see it clearly looking at the field. We sit in Section C and my depth perception sometimes lies to me when they are inside the 20 or so at the west end and that is when I tend to look at the board a little more. What I will glance at is the play clock if I feel like it is starting to run down. But you learn where that is and it becomes just a quick glance. The biggest thing it that it is a change and we all will get used to it.

also, if i'm not mistaken, there's no indication of how many timeouts each team has left on the new big board.

Sorry, you're mistaken. It's at the bottom.

Very small in this rendering, but "TOL" is on there for each team.
