Trying Bakers 7 single barrel and Heaven Hill bottled in bond. Anyone had these?

I own a bottle of the Heaven Hill. It isn't bad, but for me, the jury is still out on it.
Bakers is on my list to try. I've heard good things about it. I find it odd, though, that the bar in my area that has a wide selection of good bourbon does not have Bakers.

Not sure about the Heaven Hill. I tried it tonight and it is OK. Not sure it's worth the money. Haven't tried the Bakers.

Exactly what I think. I bought a bottle for $80 last year in Tennessee. For me, not even close to worth it.

Problem w/ Heaven Hill BiB is it actually varies

from one bottle to another. Despite the fact there are all these parameters in place for BiB, it seems to have quite a bit of variation in the body and finish in particular.
You're way better off just getting Larceny Barrel Proof (same distillery). Especially batch C923. Bigger body much better/longer finish.

Loved bourbon but have recently moved to vodka. IMO Reyka is the best on the market
|

I've heard the Heaven Hill BIB was pretty good. Give Russell's Reserve Single Barrel a try. This is not bourbon, but the new Traveller whiskey by Buffalo Trace and Chris Stapleton is very good!

I did have equal parts Elijah Craig small batch, Jim beam 10 year black label, and Jim beam honey. I combined them and it’s really good

Been a few years but Bakers is good. Heaven Hill is ok but Henry McKenna 10 is a winner

Both are very good, hope you enjoy, having 2 bottles delivered tomorrow that you can’t buy outside of Kentucky, New Riff single barrel, tried at a friend’s house , very good Bourbon.
