On roller coasters or amusement parks. That is not the case. The word you're looking for here is "wimpy," not "sheltered".

The little kiddie roller coaster at Busch Gardens, Tampa

Rickety little metal-pipe piece of crap that would fit inside a small 3-story office building. The track at the top of the coaster (maybe 30 feet up) has no ups and downs, but is back-and-forth/side-to-side with 180 degree bends at at each turn. And there's ALMOST NO BANK in the track on those 180's. Taking those turns, I thought my 270-lb ### was going to make that little piece of crap cart tip over and dump me on the ground.
Easily the scariest roller coaster I've been on, not because of the thrill of acceleration, but because of the real fear and nonzero probability of death.

recently went to Carowinds for the first time in almost 20 years. The Intimidator seemed like the fastest I can remember riding.
