Looks like UT is making an early exit from sec tourney.
He has 1 sec tourney title and 1 big east tourney title in 30+ years.
Several regular season titles.
One final 4 run with Durant at Texas.

They will definitely be a 2 seed now.

Rick Barnes has taken 28 of those 36 teams to the NCAA Tournament. That represents 78% of his teams.

Putting that into perspective, if 75% of Brad's Clemson teams made the NCAA Tournament, he would have taken 11 of those 14 team dancing and Clemson fans probably wouldn't be nearly interested his being replaced.

But eventually any fanbase will grumble with lack of tournament success.

He definitely gets his teams to the NCAA tournament, no doubt about that.

Bar is probably a little higher than that for him.

I was looking it up upon seeing that they were blown out by Miss State....

Was a little surprised that he had only won 2 conference tournaments.

And yes...we would all be thrilled with making the tournament that often...

But he was the first Clemson coach to beat UNC in North Carolina. And he did it in the tournament!!

Irrelevant.

Rick Barnes has the resume and the charisma to get people excited. People, being recruits and donors as well as nobody fans like most of us on this message board.

If we could convince him to come back, it would be like winning the lottery.
