Considering our O-line gave up 8 sacks, our WR's could not get any separation down field and our QB still struggled with situational awareness, it is amazing we put up 38 offensive points, the second most Kentucky allowed this year.(51 to UGA)
This Riley hire may turn out to be a good one.

CK is still a work in progress. He had two intentional groundings and ran right into half of the sacks. He still misses opportunities to get the pass out on time and throws the WR open _ in other words into a tight area just as the WR breaks. There’s a misconception that QBs get more than 3 seconds to throw and WR are running free ( less busted coverages). So Riley has a lot of work to do in the next 8 months with CK.
Now to CKs credit, he seems unflappably and maintains confidence ___ and can absolutely flash brilliance. He seems to many of the tools to be a good QB but needs strength in running, better pocket presence and quicker decisions in passing. There’s reason to believe he can make a big step change. He flashes capability in all of the above areas. I am not selling him short.
Riley and Luke need to expand the play book with more run package personnel and plays. Luke knows how to do that based on resume. So I agree that I am not sold on Riley _ CKs development next year is his baby. Dabo was very smart to hire Luke and they will improve the run game.

I think he is limited to play calling due to line blocking and and receivers inability to separate. Receivers need to work on blocking also.Cade needs more field awareness. Line play is the biggest problem I see . 7-8 sacks yesterday says it all.How can you open the play book if you can’t block the standard plays?

Agree he’s late on his throws. He also can’t stand in the pocket for as long as he wants. His internal clock has to tell him start scrambling around the 2.5-3 second mark. Most of the sacks were on Cade, not the Oline

Stellato was running wide open all day. Cade just can't see him because of all the green grass between him and the defender.
