Mark richt says uga is used to playing in hostile environments

Probably true. I also think it was a small shot towards Clemson/Acc. He might not respect us now but he will see why our home attendance rate has been in the top 20 for 30+ years.

It doesn't really matter when you consider that the abundance of their defensive starters havent been in that environment before. Couple that with having to face one of the best offenses in the country and it doesn't bode well for you. Those 2 reasons are why I think the tigers win by a TD. 31-24.

I dont think that at all

He knows Clemson is going to be loud and frenzied. But he's stating that they've played in other venues that are just as bad. They're not going to let the noise beat them.
What else would you expect him to say? "oh its going to be soooo loud we might as well forfeit the game..."

If the noise was 2005 Miami game noise I think he would

re-track that statement. The problem is THAT noise was unreal and I have not heard it approach that level since--BUT if it did it would be a real factor.

Just another clear cut reason there are no excuses when Clemson wins.
Even the coach said hey we have played in tough places before so the noise won't be the reason we lost.
I think this confirms there are absolutely no excuses out there for this top 10 matchup
Clemson wins and the monkey is off their back no more bs about pulling a Clemson, can't win the big one, etc
2 good teams, regular season game, 1 winner we will see Sat

Death Valley: One hostile environment

"Everything just seems like a hushed roar. Thats all you hear. You really cant hear anybody standing next to you. You just have to shake your head and pretend like you heard what they said. I think its just the mystique of Clemson and seeing the guys coming off the hilltop and the way the stadium is shaped." --North Carolina All-American Marcus Jones
"I came here knowing it would be loud and that Clemson would hit me hard, but to me, the noise was the biggest factor. I know I didn't concentrate as well because of it." --Herschel Walker after Clemson's 13-3 victory in 1981, his only regular season loss at Georgia.

Talked about playing at Clemson. I hope it's so loud that after the game he will be forced to, maybe not make the noise an excuse, but at least mention it as a factor for his 'young' team losing.

Richt is a class guy. It's not his personality to take a shot at Clemson. I could see him taking one on Spurrier..... I think all he was saying is it won't be something new to the team.
