The worst thing happening to this country is the line in the sand the two parties are drawing. Legislating is about compromise.

Compromise is exactly our problem. We have too many conservatives voting liberally and progressively. Sticking to principle be d@mned....

Like in any relationship you need compromise. Not everyone is a conservative and not all liberals are trying to suck the country dry. I would argue that there are no true liberals left in the US. Have one extreme in either direction and you will have problems. Too conservative and you start looking like Iran, and too liberal and you start looking like Fance.

When I say conservative I mean sticking to the constitution. It is impossible to look like Iran or France if we simply stick to and adhere to the constitution. Those of you who want "compromise" and give and take are the dang problem. It's worked great hasn't it?

Anyone who stands on the Senate floor and says to American's "Shut up, you don't get a lawyer", anyone who votes to take away our liberties and send our young men and woman to die and some God forsaken heII hole when he was too chicken chit to go himself is no decent human being in my book.

Graham has an Honorary Degree from clemson university and was very emotional when he got it, because the 1st game in Littlejohn he was there with his father and he has great memories of that nite.

I like the fact Lindsey is willing to cross the aisle. It is the only way we will ever get out of the mess we are in. I certainly don't agree with all of his positions but I believe he does what he thinks is right.

Regarding U.S. Citizens accused of supporting terrorism, senator Lindsey Graham has stated before the senate, "When they say, ‘I want my lawyer,’ you tell them: ‘Shut up. You don’t get a lawyer. You are an enemy combatant, and we are going to talk to you about why you joined Al Qaeda.’"
– U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, 2011[26]

You're missing the point. "If you support terrorism..."
Who is determining that? When we throw habeus corpus out the window it compromises the liberty for every American not just the criminal and evil one's. That's not a compromise we should be making.

on a case by case basis..the idiot in question was supporting terrorism-al queda to be exact..it may not apply to all , painting with a big brush, but you are taking a quote that applied to one and saying everyone

That quote didn't apply to one, it applied to a bill that was passed called NDAA....might want to do a little research bud....that law is in effect for everyone, not one guy.

Personal life
Graham has never been married and, when questioned by Robert Draper of the New York Times, said, "I know it's really going to upset a lot of gay men—I'm sure hundreds of them are going to be jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge—but I ain't available; I ain't gay. Sorry."[55]

Second Amendment Graham has been given an A rating by the NRA and a B rating by the Gun Owners of America, indicating a strong pro-gun stance.[36]

Voted for the Patriot Act, Voted for NDAA, in favor of TSA. Votes to spend billions if not trillions every budget year, which increases inflation which erodes liberty...Vote on wars without declaration. Votes to invade countries that haven't attacked us. The only republican to confirm Elena Kagan to the supreme court (A big reason we still have Obama care). Supported John Roberts (another reason we still have Obama Care and another prime example of "crossing the aisle" screwing us over).
I could keep going but I don't have the time....

UPDATE: (2pm ET 1/18) Now two U.S. Senators are withdrawing their sponsorships of PIPA. Sen. Marco Rubio, of Florida, wrote on Facebook that although he has a strong interest in stopping piracy, "we must do this while simultaneously promoting an open, dynamic Internet environment that is ripe for innovation and promotes new technologies." Senator Roy Blunt, of Missouri, also bailed on the bill, writing on Facebook that "the Protect IP Act is flawed as it stands today, and I cannot support it moving forward."
