Let the SEC have 5 teams in the BCS

Oct 29, 2012, 10:40 AM

last time I checked a conference could only get 2 selections to BCS games anyway as long as two SEC teams are not 1 and 2. If they end up with 5 or even six in there some of them will get surpassed by temas behind them because of the rule.

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.

Make it idjit proof and someone will make a better idjit.

people are way over analyzing all of this

and also spewing incorrect information. Many people think a conference can get more than 2 if a non-champion is in the title game. No, it as to be TWO non-champions in the title game, and therefore their champion would be a 3rd team in the BCS. That is NOT going to happen. I repeat, that is NOT going to happen.

So all you people can rest assurred the SEC will only have 2 teams total in this thing.

That's right, and if the BSC bowls games were awarded today

Clemson would get an at large bid, and the Coots go else where! The ironic thing is, it would probably be the SEC tie-in bowl, the Sugar Bowl! Tweet that coots! But, we still gotta do our part and win out, which IS possible.
