Leggett's paranoia about regional assignments

I do not understand the negative feelings that are felt by JL about the seeding for the tournament. UNC (is it Tar Pack or Wolf Heels?) is the #1 seed and it appears that USCjr is the #16 seed which means that the winner of those two brackets will face off in the super regional. Since we slipped out of the host category and was, I assume, rated the 17th slot, we were assigned to the lowest ranked regional. In addition to the geographical proximity, it was a "no-brainer" about us having to go through Columbia and Chapel Hill.

I hope Jack is able to manage the emotions of the regionals and make a great showing against the top two teams of my personal evil empire (UGaLY makes the third member). I feel the young players will provide all of the energy and focus that is needed to win in these environments. Jack hopefully will channel their youthful enthusiasm and let them enjoy the fun. I remember in the days of Danny Ford how he cherished going into a visitor’s hostile setting and “wooping butt”. I hope they take on that attitude and mentality this weekend.

Clemson would be hosting. End of story. All they needed was one win and could not get even that.

Well, the players have to exicute. Don't think Jack threw a pitch or took a swing. No matter what decisions coaches make, the players have to exicute. The teams we played wanted to win also...

What are our opponents going to be doing?
Staying negative and lose!
No,they are going to be throwing their best at us,and if we can't respond with timely hits,and runs,and getting key outs to end a game I don't give a rats' whatever how positive you are.
Be positive all you want,but it's about excution,and I have not seem much of that lately,have you?

you cant make the assumption that since we are paired with the #1 that we are in the regional with the 16 seed. Those matchups are more geography than competitive balance.

Although I don't understand why they can't seed all 64 and set the field according to that. This geography stuff doesn't make much sense. The host teams are paying good money and ESPN is now showing all the games. The only additional cost is plane vs bus.
