Last thought about Sammy b/4 I head to Shag Championships at

OD (For any Yankees that's Ocean Drive, SC..which is just miles above N. Myrtle Beach). And NOo, I'm not participating in the Shag Dance National Championships being held this Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings at The Spanish Galleon.
Now, about Sammy..in watching various film (including OB Game)..I've noticed he puts his body & sometimes his head into the opposing tackler as being tackled..actually ramming himself into them so to get extra yards..
and the best example of this working for extra yardage (and TD in this case) was when he caught a short side-armed pass from Tajh in front of the LB'ers in the UGA game..then rammed & flipped off a LB trying to tackle him..turned up the jets and outraced several players into the endzone.
So, I think this is a great strength of his that's not mentioned..the ability to muscle more yardage out of his catches due to pure physical strength & desire to advance the ball.
What say you? GoTiGERS!
And, I've enjoyed this statement that was trade-marked by Harriet Grady of PIVOTS Dance Hall in Charleston years ago..."Shut uP & Shag".

listening to them, but if you go to the shag clubs you're not gonna hear any of that...you'll hear songs like:
You Can't Strike Gold In A Silver Mine by Johnnie Taylor, It Must Be Love by Hardway Connection, In The Mood For Love by Bobby Jonz and lots more you may have never heard of...that's what the shag DJ's are playing

You youngsters don't remember Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts. Life was really good in those days. If you remember the Old Pawley Pavilion at Pawleys Island then you are a real shagger. I bet Bill does~

Back in the old days at The Pad or Fat Harolds....

if you showed-up too early, you'd likely be too drunk to dance by the time the band took to the stage.

Got in The Pad when I was 15 in 1964. Picked up a burning butt and a hot half-full PBR outside and walked in. Haven't been the same since.

Maybe I pulled a beer for you back in the day. Cecil Corbett, the owner, let me work there some back in my life guarding days at the old Ocean Forest Hotel.

Pure physical strength?

Not sure if you're serious about that... desire maybe, but he's not exactly going to knock people on their rear from his strength. He is a quick, shifty guy, not a power through people guy.
See photo....

I think you're wrong about his strength. He did 16 reps at combine which is average/good for a receiver. LBB is correct - he often uses stiff arms and lowers head to level defender's. Think he'll be fine

bigger, but I still don't see him running over people with his strength. He will be a top 5-10 pick because of his quickness and shiftiness, not because of his strength.

how could you not know that pic was over 2 years old before you tried to pawn it off as visual evidence[the date's in the link]? you obviously tried to wrap your argument in it.
he's the complete package.

really care that much about it. It's an internet message board, I don't take it nearly as seriously as apparently many here do. Took 5 seconds and grabbed a pic. It was not as thought out and calculated a move as you want to believe.

OD.
As several TNetters have mentioned, the best show there was Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts...if you could stand their pink jockstraps.
Funny, the origins of shag....We never called it that, but many of the CDA dances at Clemson featured music from which the shag was born. And most Clemson students were masters of the dance!

Other than Shad and Jerry Green, he's the best I ever saw. I took some lesions from jerry some years ago.
