Do they help you shake an arm tackle?

They brace the muscles,

Oct 5, 2013, 5:25 PM

Specifically tendons and joint areas where there are fast twitch muscles and lots of back-and-forth stress movements. They keep pressure on the tendons to make sure that if they get stressed they don't tear or pull in a weird way.
I played football in high school and wore them as an RB.
Likewise, if your muscles get worn out or start stressing or cramping they will swell up, the pressure from the bands gets uncomfortable and acts as an indicator that you need to sit out to rest before you strain something.
They are reinforcement basically.
